Traveling with Minors:
The new legislation regarding the transportation of MINORS on Long-Distance Transport is hereby brought to your attention, according to Resolution 2016 - 43 - SECRETARY OF TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT
Minors up to 12 years old (inclusive):
They must ALWAYS travel accompanied by:
a) Father, mother, or one (1) legal guardian,
b) or an authorized person.
AUTHORIZATION: granted by at least one (1) legal guardian, accrediting such representation through:
1) ID document stating the name of the legal guardian,
2) Marriage certificate with the child's birth registered,
3) Birth certificate,
4) Certificate of Nationality,
5) Passport,
6) Judicial testimony of adoption or public instrument certifying the claimed relationship.
Additionally, the minor's document and the authorizing legal guardian's document must be provided.
Minors from 13 to 17 years old (inclusive)
They must ALWAYS travel accompanied by:
a) Father, mother, or one (1) legal guardian
b) Unaccompanied with authorization granted by at least one
(1) legal guardian, accrediting the representation through:
1) ID document stating the name of the legal guardian,
2) Marriage certificate with the child's birth registered,
3) Birth certificate,
4) Certificate of Nationality,
5) Passport,
6) Judicial testimony of adoption or public instrument certifying the claimed relationship,
Additionally, the minor's document and the authorizing legal guardian's document must be provided.
The AUTHORIZATION can be made by the authorizing party at the company's ticket offices or through a document signed before a public notary (Public Notary, whose signature must be legalized, or competent Judge or Justice of the Peace). In all cases, ALL the documentation must be presented in ORIGINAL and in copy - WITHOUT EXCEPTION.
